Privacy policy

Who we are
Wrought Press (wroughtpress.com) is run by Wrought Industries, LLC, an Arizona company. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Wrought Industries, LLC. Questions about your information go to hello@wroughtindustries.com.
What we collect
If you apply to be a paid reader: your name, email address, where you heard about us, your answers about books you've loved and not finished and what makes a story worth reading, your yes-or-no answers about AI-assisted fiction, reading time and confidentiality, and how you'd like to be paid (PayPal, Venmo or other). We don't ask for account numbers on this site.
If you ask to be notified when author submissions open: your first name (optional) and email address.
If you email us: your message and email address.
When you visit: like any website, the servers that deliver it see your IP address and browser type. We use this only to keep the site running and to stop spam, and we count visits without identifying you.
We don't take payments on this site, we don't use advertising trackers, and we never sell your information.
How we use it
- To consider your paid-reader application and contact you about it.
- To send you one email when author submissions open, if you asked for that.
- To answer emails you send us.
- To keep the forms safe from spam and abuse.
That's all. We don't use your information for anything you didn't send it for, and we don't share it with anyone except the services below, which handle it for us.
Services that handle it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores form answers in its database. It also gives us simple visit counts without cookies.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's typefaces, so your browser contacts Google when the page loads.
- Gmail receives email sent to our address.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep applications and notification sign-ups only as long as we need them for the reason you sent them. Once author submissions open and we've sent that one email, the notification list has done its job. We delete anything sooner if you ask.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email hello@wroughtindustries.com from the address you used and we'll take care of it. If we ever email you something you didn't ask for, reply and we'll stop.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us their details, email us and we'll delete them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
